El viaje de Lito, novela infantil de Lilia Hernández Vergara, se presentó en San Bernardo
El Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral de San Bernardo fue el escenario para el lanzamiento del nuevo libro de Lilia Hernández Vergara, la novela infantil con ilustraciones El viaje de Lito. La presentación, que tuvo lugar el viernes 24 de enero de 2025, fue organizada por Ediciones del Gato en colaboración con el Centro Literario Ateneo San Bernardo, y asistieron numerosos representantes del ámbito literario y cultural de la comuna.
Durante el evento, Lilia Hernández Vergara compartió con el público detalles sobre el proceso creativo de El viaje de Lito, sus inspiraciones y los desafíos que enfrentó al escribir la novela, que aborda la infancia, los sueños y la búsqueda de identidad de un niño de trece años que en 1981 vive en una maestranza de ferrocarriles y desea visitar a su familia en Lanco, en el sur de Chile. «Estas son historias de una persona cercana que se han ido cambiando para hacerlas más cercanas», explicó la autora. «Lito enfrenta su vida, evolucionando y entendiendo el mundo que lo rodea, en un contexto donde el miedo era pan de cada día, aunque él no lo entendiera», añadió refiriéndose a la realidad social y política de la dictadura militar chilena que enmarca la historia.
La presentación contó con la participación de la escritora Nelly Salas, presidenta de Ateneo San Bernardo, quien se refirió a la trayectoria de Lilia Hernández Vergara y su contribución a la literatura chilena. Salas destacó la profundidad de su escritura de Hernández Vergara, así como su capacidad para construir personajes y narrativas. «Las ilustraciones están hechas en óleo y acrílico, técnicas que Lilia Hernández maneja con maestría», agregó durante la presentación, refiriéndose a las imágenes que acompañan la historia de Lito y que grafican elementos y situaciones propias de la época.
“Esta historia sobre un niño que vivió en Chile durante los años ochenta es una linda oportunidad para acercar a las nuevas generaciones con sus padres e incluso abuelos”, agregó Lilian Flores Guerra, escritora y editora de Ediciones del Gato. “Permitirá a los mayores recordar cómo fue su infancia, ya que las ilustraciones muestran por ejemplo cómo eran los televisores de ese tiempo, y hay trenes, lo que en lo personal me tocó profundamente ya que provengo de familia ferroviaria”.
El viaje de Lito, de Lilia Hernández Vergara, es una novela infantil con ilustraciones publicada por la editorial independiente Ediciones del Gato en 2024.
